Pyxis: The Compass

Theme ("The Lost City")

Pyxis: The Compass, is a constellation.

For this composition, I took inspiration from the artwork presented during the jam  ("El Khasne, Petra, Frederic Edwin Church, 1874). I imagined a narrative adventure game where the main character is on a boat floating through a valley towards a massive church hidden away. Because this is an ambience jam, I wanted to stay away from a recognizable melody, opting instead for a motif that is passed back and forth between instruments, and built upon - rather than developed. 

For this Jam, I used Waveform Free (DAW), the BBC Symphony Orchestra Discover (Free Version from Spitfire Audio), and Labs (Free Version from Spitfire Audio).
